The particles in the air were not moving.

The bird’s warning was on its way across
The frame of the window

To be received by mouths opening their closing.

At the same time, the half display
On the TV reaches out to the fleeing signal

Adam eagerly reaches for God’s fingers.

But not until the cup of tea frozen in time falls
To nourish the ground

The door is scarcely opening…or is it closing?

The victorious team had just lost its victory
Two scores and one inch ago.
