Adapting To A Mask (Part 4)

The air behind this mask is different.
Breathing wants to feel like
Inhaling through a stack of hay.
My body has to remind itself,
“You’re okay.”
You don’t have to activate your flight Tendency.

Because at least you can breathe,
At least you can see
At least you can hear
At least you can speak
At least you’re alive.

You’re alive. Let’s keep it that way. Wear your mask.

  1. Beautifully written. I like the subtle call to action. Life is worth living. God can take us at any moment but if wearing a mask can help let’s continue to do so.
    Blessings.

    1. Yes! Indeed!!! Many blessings to you too <3

      1. Thanks so much. Hope you are safe during this time.

  2. I read all of these parts together before reading them separately.
This is, by far, the stand out for me.
That last verse… Loved it!! 🖤🖤🖤

    1. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! ❤️❤️❤️ Please tell me, why do you love this part the most above all the others?

      1. Honestly, I’m not sure…

I just think I am stirred by the emotion in that last verse.

Not that the others were not emotional too – but just something about the defiance in those last sentences just spoke to me.

        Beautifully written my friend 🖤

        1. Thank you very much, and thank you for sharing the comment ❤️

          1. You’re most welcome 🖤
