GUEST POST // Writing on the Train by Charles Joseph

When Tony contacted me, a few months ago, asking for my permission to share one of my poems on his page, I was very honored that someone would want their audience to see my work. But I also didn’t think much of it—and I guess that was because I didn’t think much of the poem. But Tony did. Tony saw greatness in me. I read this poem again now, and I think, “wow…this is really good”. Living in NYC, taking the train is a daily part of my life. It was actually my favorite part of the day when I was in High School (secondary). So, of course, being someone who usually writes about their life, trains naturally ride into my poems. My gratitude is endless, Tony.

It also takes one to know one. So if you are reading this post right now, check out Tony’s page and publications. Tony is what I imagine when someone surpasses being just a “writer” to becoming purely an artist.

Much love 💕

  1. Thank you for this very kind shout out, my friend! And catching trains in NYC is a very different experience to when I was growing up. I lived in an industrial area and would walk to and from school every day with a huge bag full of all my school books. I definitely don’t miss those days! 😆

    1. Loving this layout by the way! Elegant and uncluttered. It’s a thing of beauty!

      1. Thank you Tony!!

    2. Hahaha I wouldn’t miss those days either!!! Did you have to walk up and down 6 mountains side ways and backwards upside down like my parent had to? Hahaha 😂

      1. 🤣🤣🤣 (How did he know?) 🙄

        1. 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
