This Valentine’s,
I’ll buy myself pizza
Eat until I burry my sorrows at the bottom of my stomach,
Then burp the bones out.
I’ll take food on a date
Because unlike you, it makes my heart happy.

A spark of light
Smiles and well wishes in the heart’s delight
A table re-arranged
To the clings of dishes in exchange
A candle lit
Love and tablecloths together knit
Never did the grand drown in pickets of a frown
Even when thereafter, the voices shush down
Later, seconds spent in appreciation
Seconds smiling at the feeling born in the imagination

We are the people who make others smile
We are the people who give you hope
We wash you clean of your worries, no soap.
We are the people who bring excitement and leave on a good note
We are the people who make the world turn
Lead each nation; make them know life is just a station
For there is an afterlife, heaven, the ultimate vacation.
We are the people who punish you, all in the hope that you will avoid the mistakes later.
But as we hit you, we hit ourselves
Scream at you and make you fear.
But as you cry, our hearts tear
Our soul screams, “can you not hear?”
We are the people you praise,
The people you raise.
You wish we wouldn’t leave,
So we didn’t.
In spirit we stayed.
Stayed watching over you, hinting the right path
Giving you wings when you fall and keeping you warm. A scarf.

Red and Green,
Lovely tunes, beautiful.
None like June,
Unique every year, like its flakes
Everything is in slow motion
Like thoughts under moonlights,
Mystery with inconsistent heights;
The shocking moments in movies.
Music competing with laughter,
Baby Jesus born to rise in the higher
And take us with Him too.
Snow eternally welcomed,
While legs are rapid through the cold
All is humbled, fascinating white gold
Beautiful, but not like June
We’ll be sure to see it again, sometime soon.
