So much to do but NOT ENOUGH TIME!

What do you complain about the most?

It is incredibly unfair that we are expected to do so much—we put so much pressure on ourselves to do so much—and yet we do not have the sufficient amount of time in the day to do it all. 24 hours is not enough time for me to get done all that society requires of me as well as all that I require of myself (that includes health related and career/goal/social related). I’ve tried waking up an hour or more earlier, I’ve cut some things out of my life, I diminished my social life—but the fact is that I just never have enough time to accomplish it all! Therefore, one thing I complain about the most is how I do not have the sufficient amount of time.

Were You Meant To Labor Until You Die?

I don’t believe that I, or anyone, is meant to wake up and labor from sun up to sun down in order to live a life where I can STRIVE to be happy. It doesn’t even make sense. So you’re telling me that in order to be happy and free, I have to wake up every day then work hard, suffer, give my soul, time, energy and creativity to some company or person in order to one day be free from that contract, and finally enjoy the fruits of my labor?? But how will I ever be permanently happy and free if, every day, I have to work an undesired job at an undesired time in an undesired pace for undesired results? When does the contract end so that I could finally be infinitely happy? Do I one day retire? When? After all of my good and strongest years are spent working tirelessly for a greater part of my waking hours?

Do you see the irony? Exactly. It’s all bullshit! One day, I want to take a year-long vacation/escape to live life as close to what I believe I am meant to (we all are meant to) live it as: spending time with people, laughing, visiting places, meeting new people, spend weeks lounging around, watching movies, enjoying the pleasures of life (simple pleasures or spiritual or bold or expensive or lavish pleasures), have lots of safe, enjoyable and liberating sex, enjoy nature, enjoy the nicer things in existence that humans have come together and created, do whatever pleasurable or fulfilling activities that I can think of or that I learn about in my journey. I want to do anything except for go into a workplace to labor for someone, something, in order to maintain the simplest style of living because that’s bullshit, and unethical. I’m damn sure that’s not what humans were created to do. We were put on a planet that has a wealth of everything that we can ever need FOR FREE AND IN ABUNDANCE but somehow we came together and decided that it is best to detrimentally work for any of it? That’s absurd! My life’s goal is to escape that.

When You Run Your Life to Ruins

Inspired by: “The Ballad Of Cleopatra” by The Lumineers

Which choice leads to permanent fulfillment?
Which to an eternal inferno?
Which single decision will destine my life to ruins?

I wonder if Abby ever went on that road trip?
If the unavoidable ever rolled out of her path?
Reveal a road to fantasy, though normality—
Bypass health complications, pauses on life, medical visits;
Beautiful boys with flowers in their mouths, poison in their hearts

Perhaps Artiana has kids by now
By now, she’s probably risen a chateau of plants.
A forest in her backyard. A garden in her front lawn
Though you wouldn’t recognize the difference between the three

Very often, I wonder which motion will adjust the course of my life towards destruction
Sometimes, I wonder if I’ve already made that choice?
If my life sometimes feels like a déjà vu because in the last second between life and death,
You relive your life.

A part of me knows I’ve written this poem before. So I’ve always wondered
The story is usually written after it all has concluded
But what does it mean if I am sitting here, amidst the chaos
Scripting the events surrounding me?

So, is it true, then?
I’ve already walked the path of life, but it led to its own destruction?
But what was that Ultimate choice?

Life is a yarn of choices, a pile of possibilities, an Olympic “What If?”
But nothing saves you from the choice that runs you to ruins

There’s Supposed To Be Magic

There’s supposed to be magic:
A question of perception, and imagination.
With a cohesion of the both
You fool!

All reality is not the same but we
Live within the same reality
The same laws of the planet, rules of gravity

On the same space
So don’t envy another’s grace
For you don’t know. You don’t know. You’ll never know.

With the goals you chase, I hope you real-eyes:
Chase it, don’t complain
Learn, don’t go too insane
Always have your eyes on the prize

These things hardest to find
Are sometimes right in front of our eyes—
So focus your vision!

Count your blessings; Thank each day
Thank your gods or keep belief in fate
The journey you’re given is a blessing
Your struggles are a testament.

The high road is rocky but
These cheat codes that God put on your path
Are revealing internally:
You were meant to thrive.

This spark out of your wand. No matter how small
Is no accident. It’s no mistake. It was designed
You’re on the right path.

You’re doing good.

You’re yelling,
“IT’S NOT FAIR!!”
Cause who you compare yourself to
Was given forgiveness, and not the knife
But has God not put cheat codes in your life?

You’re very busy, as we can see,
Attracting
Complaints from the East, complaints from the West
But didn’t mother tell you,
To count your blessings?!

Don’t you know nothing comes without hard work?
Don’t limit the oil to the hustle
You’re the chance you’re waiting for

This shortcut ain’t it. This shortcut can cut you short!

There’s this idea of magic:
A tendency to achieve the unrealistic; beyond ordinary.
Without having to invest decent effort.

I know, I live by this idea.
Fooling the self without noticing.
But that’s the trick of magic—Abrah Kadabra

Ugly Truth

This town is more beautiful under a tree.
Sitting at the feet of an oak,
Birds higher; they spoke
Of the land, the sand, the views over seas

This town is quiet; automobiles are angry.
Stories of private life publicly seen
Through windows of closed rooms.

The wind could never be silent.
So it always tells the pavement and oaks.
We all need to vent.
A quiet, beautiful town, ugliness is in her heart.

Oh, how noise-free
Are the days of annoyance free

My hair no longer itches loudly
Like chewing sugar cane hungrily

The flies no longer have marching bands as they fly up.
Oh! Would you just shut up?!

The car engines no longer have furious discussions
As people in the city find themselves in the same situations

The trumpet is no longer capable of penetrating house walls
Like the screeching of teenagers after seeing sales in malls

The pillows are no longer broken in half like bread
And squeezed on ears like masks around your head

No more aggravating noises and ears claps shut.
Oh bless the day, when noise can just disappear.

A Living Art

The traces on the body are that of an architect
A walking amazement
Crowds cheer, though silently
Thus, the self proceeds, oblivious of such.

The outline of the body is that carved by nature
Fruits to the head
Sweetness for the belly
Feet move like trees breezing naturally.

Personality in the body is a sack, that of diamonds
Some seen as more prosperous than others,
Following it: an essence of pure heart
Yet, you don’t see that you are art.

Many men, have watched you walk Down into waters

Many less, have seen that you rise a goddess—

Rivers flowing down your face, As you progress through this desert

Chase sun,

Chase clouds,

Chase rain

But one day,

You won’t chase storms.
