Tonight, I got a date.

I shall sit him down.
I shall look in his eyes

Give a smile
Throw paint in his skies.

Because, tonight, I got a date.

I’ll take back the thunder
Ask for forgiveness, and surrender

Put beauty on his cuts and curves
Give him all he deserves

Tonight, I got a date with me.

the sun is an opinion, the world is just a myth, the heart’s a phony tower, a phantom monolith — the day is an illusion, the night, a vain ideal — the hope of dawn is empty, but the ache is real

I taste the wind
I sense the sand
Have you yet begone,
My semester friend?

(Semester Friends)

A scarcity of time.
Vast procrastination,
Such distraction–
I lack attention.

I seek consistency
Perhaps stability,
But we produce:
A change in the winds
The rolling of sands–
My companion,
Let’s be more
Than just semester friends.

(Semester Friends)

Such negligence;
Revelation of importance
Our matters have lost sense,
But perhaps there’s a chance?
For together, we know perseverance.

But now it seems,
I only see you in the distance
Was it meant to be?
Will you leave me?
Have you left me?

(Semester Friends)

Sleep has chased us,
But we’ve Escaped.
A relationship 3 months’ depth
(And change)

We now know wisdom,
But I’ll force you in too deep,
Then I’ll follow. Though you’re sheep

With tears, and laughter
Stapling memories in thereafter
Next semester, will we become
Memories in thereafter?

(Semester Friends)

We died during finals
But after the resurrection,
Our friendship was final.

Yet,
I rise with the sun on my back.
It wobble; it wiggle
But, nonetheless, I remain on my track

“This one, I shall sack!” in my manifesto,
But I don’t know.
Our purest goals are lingered with hints of skepticism
I’m sure that I know.

This road burns, unbelievably
Hope diminishes, as progression proceeds.
The sun burns in my soul
But honestly, I just don’t know

Push boundaries, chase charities
Sympathy rise
But never give way to skies.

Walls mount high
Regulations only know stern
But they shall burn
Long as authenticity doesn’t die

Displace boundaries; These tragedies
Engulfed by lies
To Discover: roadmaps to the prize

On the corner of Troy and Eastern Parkway,

There’s a hive of Haitians.

Swarming an old wooden table

Skeleted with Domino Pieces

Summoning loud conversations about…

Who knows?
It attracts me Home
It attracts me Home.

Where these old tables are glistened to look new

With skinny metal legs twisting

“I need to pee”

Yet, it still withstood the exhilarating slams

Of Domino Pieces.

Reverberating magnificent melody behind mountains;

An echo that seizes attention,

Ask for respect–your temptation.
It reminds me of Home

Legend has it:

When a New Yorker’s phone dies

And they seek to find

“My way back home”,
They kiss their ears with the sun-kissed pavement;

Concrete sidewalk,

And let their soul connect to the undergrounds:

The rushing, swivel

Tunnel.

Fetch for distinct sounds of

Rumbling; Tumbling

Awakening,

Belonging; Life.
Follow all that noise–

A screetch known to be cultural

To the nearest train station.
In NYC, every train points Home.

They told us shades are cool,

But now. we can’t see
They told us we’re too loud,

But now. we can’t speak
They told us these bracelets are a gift,

But now. we’re not free
They told us they wouldn’t shoot,

But now. we’re hashtags
They told us they panicked,

But now. we can’t breathe

Fade away into the muse

Fade away into your dreams.
Fade away into what seems

Take a walk with your Blues.
Swallow the terror

Sleep next to horror:

The pain, the vain

The stunningly insane
Let demons pour your cup of tea

So in the reflection of serum, you’ll see:

You’re made of gods.
